Problem Statement

Many habit tracker apps overwhelm users with cluttered interfaces or lack engaging features to keep them motivated. Momentum aims to provide a visually appealing, intuitive solution that encourages users to build habits consistently while celebrating small wins.

 
 
 
 

Process

1. Research

  • Competitive Analysis: Reviewed leading habit-tracking apps (e.g., Habitica, Fabulous, Streaks) to identify pain points like:

    • Overloaded dashboards.

    • Limited habit customization.

    • Lack of motivating features.

  • User Insights: Conducted 5 user interviews to discover:

    • Need for quick habit setup.

    • Desire for visual progress indicators.

    • Importance of reminders and rewards for habit adherence.

 
 
 
 

2. Design Goals

  • Simplified Navigation: Ensure users can easily add, track, and complete habits.

  • Engaging Visuals: Use gamification and dynamic feedback to celebrate progress.

  • Data-Driven Insights: Provide actionable analytics in an intuitive format.

 
 
 

Reflection

This project enhanced my skills in designing engaging user interfaces that balance aesthetics with functionality. I learned the importance of iterative feedback loops and user-centric decisions in crafting intuitive digital experiences.
